Introduction:
Haematococcus pluvialis is a fresh water green microalga and the best source of natural astaxanthin.
Astaxanthin is derived from microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis.
Astaxanthin is a member of the carotenoid family of natural pigments closely related to beta carotene, lycopene and lutein. It is known as "The king of carotenoids", a natural wonder and one of nature’s most potent antioxidants, known to provide a wide variety of health benefits.
We cultivate Haematococcus pluvialis algae in photobioreactor facilities to control the quality from the source, ensure that microalgae will not absorb impurities during the production process.
Astaxanthin encapsulated powder is made by the astaxanthin oleoresin and coating materials. It is single layer encapsulated. It can be water soluble and keep the nutrition for human health. It is widely used in the foods, nutrition products and cosmetic products.
The astaxanthin content in encapsulated powder: 1% 2% and 2.5%.

Function:
As a carotenoid, astaxanthin is a fat-soluble pigment with powerful antioxidant properties that plays a role in protecting your cells from free radicals and oxidative stress. Carotenoids are known for their ability to neutralize reactive oxygen, on the inner and outer layers of cell membranes.
Immune System Support: Astaxanthin can influence your immune system, helping to activate white blood cells (T-cells) and natural killer (NK) cells.
Reduction in Inflammation: Along with boosting your immune system, astaxanthin may also help to reduce inflammation. In particular, this pigment acts on reactive oxygen species to reduce proteins that can cause inflammatory diseases like celiac disease, rheumatoid arthritis, heart disease, and diabetes.
Protection from UV Skin Damage: Taking supplements or consuming foods rich in astaxanthin may also help to protect your skin from ultraviolet (UV) damage. Astaxanthin accumulates in the epidermis and dermis layers of your skin, helping to block UV penetration and reduce existing damage.
Support Cognitive Health: Carotenoids have a positive effect on the brain by reducing the risks for neurodegenerative diseases. Astaxanthin is a smaller molecule, which means it can cross the blood-brain barrier and add protection for your brain as well as your body’s organs. This carotenoid may also help to prevent Alzheimer's disease and other cognitive disorders and/or slow their onset rate.
Healthy Heart Function: If you're trying to improve your heart health, you may have good results with astaxanthin. This carotenoid can help to reduce LDL or bad cholesterol and can raise HDL or good cholesterol, while also lower high blood pressure.
Eye Health: The eye is particularly vulnerable to oxidative stress due to its extensive exposure to light, its rich content of mitochondria, and the high metabolic rate of photoreceptors. Antioxidants are the first line of defense for the human eye against these stressors.
Muscles Strength and Volume: In advanced age, there is a decline in the size and number of skeletal muscle fibers leading to loss of skeletal muscle mass and strength. The weakened muscles can cause loss of function, disability, and frailty.
Brain and Cognition: Astaxanthin crosses the blood-brain barrier, which allows for potential beneficial effects on the brain. A pre-clinical study suggests that the powerful antioxidant properties of astaxanthin can slow down brain aging by increasing brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) levels in the central nervous system.
